This is a Graceful Greens ride so it is aimed at leisure riders who cycle at 8-10 mph but are willing to challenge themselves on a few hills as well as enjoy the countryside. Over the 3 ride series we will be riding through local villages such as Speen, Bryants Bottom, Prestwood, Penn, Little Missenden and Holmer Green. The exact route will depend on weather conditions on the day.
We will be riding on quiet roads most of the time although some busier roads will be unavoidable, as will some hills!
We will stop for water breaks and to keep the group together. Depending on the day's conditions we may stop for coffee or have coffee on our return at the cafe in Hughenden Village.
I would prefer you to wear a cycling helmet. Please bring two spare inner tubes, a bike pump, a drink of water and card/money for our stop (please note: many places take card payment only), hand sanitiser and a face covering. Due to Covid 19 guidance we will maintain appropriate social distancing. Please note that we cannot share equipment/tools. Please make sure that your contact details when you registered with Breeze are correct. Please take a minute to look at British Cycling’s guidance regarding cycling and COVID-19: https://www.britishcycling.org.uk/about/article/20200512-about-bc-news-British-Cycling-Updated-Coronavirus-Guidance-0. I expect participants to take responsibility for ensuring they are well and not coming on the ride if they display signs of COVID-19. British Cycling are keen for group cycling to continue in the most socially distanced way possible. You can wear a mask if you feel it is appropriate. Ultimately, only you can decide if you feel safe from the risks of COVID-19 to ride at this time. Please have a good check over your bikes to make sure they are road worthy. British Cycling have put together a handy video for checking your bike before a ride - How to check your bike - British Cycling's M Check https://www.youtube.com/watch?reload=9&v=JwSi-AGwm5g&safe=true
