Going Quackers in Entwistle

Lovely Scenic 20 mile (1900 ft elevation) route from Moss Bank Park to Entwistle. One or two hills but nothing we can't manage! Cycling up Smithills Dean then through Horrocks Fold and up to Belmont. Across the boating lake and down to Egerton and then across Turton Golf course to Entwistle for our refreshment stop at The Strawbury Duck. We cycle back through Chapeltown, the Jumbles and Bromley Cross heading for Smithills Farm and back to Moss Bank Park.

Mainly quiet lane and traffic free tracks. The busier road is up through Belmont.

please ensure your bike is in good working order. Check your brakes the day before. Helmets are compulsory and anyone not wearing one will be unable to join this ride. please bring a spare inner tube, tyre levers and and a pump. This is a Horwich Ride Social Ride and is open for anyone to join. You will need to complete a participant's form if you have not previously done so. please request one vis [email protected].
