Get Cycling MK Guided Ride – Cornflower Mystery Route
This ride is an exploration of our part the NCR51 route from Colchester to Oxford. NCR51 runs W-E through Milton Keynes and the part we're going to explore is from Tattenhoe to Winslow. This is not a 'normal' ride in terms of the guded rides, being along Weasel Lane which is a combination of tarmac and dirt roads. It's also a bit longer than our normal routes, being about 13 miles in total. To keep it as short as possible we will meet at the car park outside the Giles Brook Primary School, Holborn Crescent, Tattenhoe, MK4 3GB. The route often has pot-holes which, in winter, can be a bit muddy. I don't think it will be at this time of year. I haven't been down here for a while so it's possible that the East-West rail modifications will interfere with us. This ride is less suitable for small children than the others, but should give an interesting mornings ride.
Gentle rides every Sunday, perfect for beginners and families or those wanting to explore beautiful quiet, mainly traffic free routes around MK. All of the rides are led by very friendly, experienced and knowledgeable cyclists. We ride at the pace of the group and never leave anyone behind.
In this series of rides we will be exploring the five official waymarked MK Cultural Routes. The first week of each route we will enjoy the short route (about 5 miles) and the second we will do the full route (about 10 miles). The third ride will be a mystery tour of the local area.
