Gentle evening Breeze around Bute Park

The route is subject to change on the day, but essentially it will be a loop of Llandaff fields and Bute Park crossing Blackweir Bridge and back over the bridge to Sofia Gardens. We can do extra loops of Llandaff field and/or saunter up the Taff trail a little bit if it’s a nice evening and people fancy it! But this ride is very much aimed at novice riders and it will be very leisurely.

A very gentle evening ride around Bute Park and Llandaff Fields to admire the spring flowers and blossom! Entirely traffic free and ideal for those who haven’t ridden a bike for a while or just fancy a really gentle ride after work! Perfect for a Next Bike – so if you don’t have a bike you can hire one of these from Sofia Gardens or other nearby places.

Entirely off road, with the exception of the start point, but it is a very short walk to the traffic free path. A few awkward slopes/turns so there may be an element of getting on and off the bike at times!

No planned stops as this is so short, but we will meet at The Brewhouse and Kitchen (was the Mochyn Du) and can stop there for refreshments at the end for those who fancy it.

A bike in good working order, a next bike is perfect. Clothing appropriate for the weather and for riding a bike! Helmets are not essential so don’t let that put you off hiring a nextbike. If you plan to cycle home afterwards make sure you have lights as it may be dusky/dark by the time we finish
