Let's Ride - Wednesday Wheeling 20

Starting from - Car park at rear of Graystones Café and Deli on St Peter’s Street, Duxford or on the road nearby. Please remember your cycle helmet, spare inner tube, pump, water to drink on the ride and money for refreshments at the end.
Due to Covid precautions please bring your own PPE (mask, sterile gloves and alcohol hand gel) in case of an emergency. If you are feeling unwell in any way, particularly if you have a temperature or cough, please do not attend the ride.
Please arrive 10 minutes before the scheduled start time so that we can do our safety checks and go through the route. It is important that you check that your bike is fully roadworthy, good brakes, gears that work and tyres that are pumped to the correct pressure – thanks

We will be mainly on minor roads and country lanes but we do have to cross a couple of busy roads. Following Government and British Cycling guidelines we will cycle in single file with a distance of 2 metres between us. There will be short stops for water, and any refreshments you are carrying, along the route. We will hopefully grab a coffee and have a chat at the end of the ride in the Graystones garden.
This 25-mile route is basically quite flat but we do have to cross both the A10 and A505 twice, and the Royston to Cambridge railway line which will slow us down a little. However the villages are lovely and there are some real country lanes to enjoy. We will be going through Fowlmere, Frog End, Orwell, Barrington (avoiding the hill!), Foxton, Thriplow, Newton & Whittlesford before we come back into Duxford.
