Flying on the Breeze

Cycling down the Bridgewater canal to Astley, we'll head off on the quiet road over Irlam Moss to City Airport. From there we take the designated cycle path back to Peel Green and pick up the Salford Greenway back to Monton. A lovely flat route ridden at a leisurely pace suitable for beginners

The route is a mixture of canal paths, quiet roads and designated cycle paths, suited mainly for hybrid or mountain bikes

There is no planned stop but we'll have plenty of stops with time to chat.

Helmets are mandatory and you should carry a spare inner tube or puncture repair kit. Your bike must be in good working order. Dress to meet the weather conditions and working front and rear lights are essential in case we start to loose the light on the way back
