This is a social ride and so mixed ride for men and women. It is mainly on quiet back roads, forest tracks and then a path by the water, it has great views and is a fairly easy ride.

We ride at the pace of the slowest rider and this will not be a fast ride, probably averaging about 10mph as we are here to have some fun, chat, meet other people and get our legs moving as we do it.

This route is on back roads as we pass through Ennerdale Village and head down to Bowness Knott Car park, we then come back on the path down by the side of the water.

So as this ride is slightly off road at times you will need either a cross bike or a mountain bike. You can take the route on a road bike but might find parts difficult as it gets quite sandy and rocky with a lot of silt and dirt.

We can stop on the way back at The Gather cafe in Ennerdale Bridge for a cuppa, so bring some money and a snack if needed too.

So bring money, inner tubes, correct clothing and water.

We never leave anyone behind
