About the route
Starting point
Leicestershire DE74 2FH
A slightly more challenging road ride than I normally put on with a few good hills. Heading out from Kegworth Village hall to the top of Beacon Hill. Going out through Diseworth, Belton and Shepshed before starting the long climb up to the summit of Beacon hill, where if the weather is good the views are worth the effort. After admiring the views we will descend into the lower car park to the cafe for some refreshments. Once we have refuelled we will climb back over the hill with a possible visit to Mount St Bernards Abbey if we have time, before returning to Kegworth via Whitick, Belton and Long Whatton. Route can be downloaded from Here https://ridewithgps.com/routes/35237285
Please wear a helmet and bring any tools that you may need. Money for the cafe and some climbing legs
