Starting from - The start is in the Civic space next to the Heart of Hawick. There we will have a chance to meet, for me to take you through the safety checks and tell you a bit more about the ride. Please bring with you a bottle of water and a spare inner tube for your bikes in case you or the child has a puncture. TD9 9EA

We start at the civic space next to the Heart of Hawick turning right on to the Newcastleton road and ride to Stobs camp. It is a quiet road and we will ride in pairs with children on the inside. If you haven't done this before don't worry, I will take you through how this is done and the road etiquette during the ride. It will be an easygoing ride. On the way we can stop where it is necessary including to look at the pigs and donkeys. On this ride children must be accompanied by a parent or an adult with the signed consent of the parent. Suitable for children from 5 to 11 years. Younger children can come on the ride but in a suitable harnessed seat attached to the parent's bike.

This is a short ride on quiet flat roads following the Newcastleton road to Stobs and back again. Any type of bike will be suitable for this ride.

We'll stop at the Stobs War Memorial to catch our breath before we ride back to the Heart of Hawick.

Helmets are compulsory and where suitable clothing for riding your bike. It is also well worth carrying a spare inner tube and any tools you need to remove your wheel just in case you get a puncture.

This ride is designed for anyone even if you haven't ridden with a group before. Beginners are welcome so come along and join us and experience to joy of riding with other cyclists.
