New riders are welcome.
We will be cycling on mostly quiet country roads, but we will have to get out of town first and a we may have to cross a few busier roads. We will stay together as a group throughout the ride.
I have now had one of my vaccinations and I know that a few of you have had as well. However, you must not attend a ride if you have Covid-19 symptoms, have someone in your household who does. or if you have been asked to remain at home by the UK Government track and trace system. Social distancing will be observed throughout the ride.
Helmets are compulsory. Please bring a spare inner tube that fits your bike as well as tyre levers. As a result of social distancing we are unable to all muck in in the event of a puncture or technical problem and you will be expected to do it yourself with advice or call a member of your household to help out. Cycling glasses and gloves are strongly recommended. As this is an evening ride please bring lights. We should be back before dark, but in case we are delayed lights may be required.
We will be starting and finishing the ride from the Power Cycle shop which is not open in the evenings. There are no planned refreshment stops so please bring drinks and snacks that you require for the length of ride. We will take breaks for refreshment as and when required.
Hand sanitiser should be brought for use before, during and after you ride.
Masks are optional whilst riding. Please make sure that you can breathe comfortably. However, please bring a mask or face covering with you for your use in the event of injury requiring attention from the leader (who will also wear PPE).
We never leave anyone behind
