Dechmont hills / Blantyre Loop (steady)

This steady route is similar to our Tuesday challenging ride, but with fewer hills. We’ll head along Brownside road to Cambuslang park. After we’ve turned onto Vicarland road we have a short steep climb then right into cairns road that becomes Gilbertfield road which is a long fairly flat road. Our next climb is at the end when turn right into Flemington road this is a long gradual climb. At the end we’ll turn left onto Stoneymeadow road and descent into Blantyre. Then left into Hunthill road. Further down this road we’ll make a left into unamed road where we have a 3rd (and last) steep climb. This road takes us back to Flemington road from here we’ll re trace our cycle back along brownside road to burnside.

This is an excellent ride to get in some practice at hill climbs and work up to progressing to our challenging rides.
