Seven mile cycle from Castle Douglas to Gelston and back. Visit castle ruins then return to CD via different country roads. Good opportunity to meet other women who like cycling and see the beautiful countryside of Kircudbrightshire. This will be the route for the first ride on 25 July. Subsequent rides will be of similar duration on countryside roads around Castle Douglas.

Meet outside the Fullarton Theatre, Lochside Road Castle Douglas

Country roads with some traffic.

Stop for 10 minutes at Gelston Castle so bring water and a small snack if you wish.

Please bring a roadworthy bicycle, cycle helmet and in case it is needed a bicycle tyre repair kit or spare inner tube.
