Conquer & Climb 5 - Holmes Hilly Hideaway

The title says it all. This is a very challenging circular route. We leave Brinscall and head over to Clitheroe via Mellor, Ribchester and Great Mitton, where a variety of eateries will leave you spoilt for choice.

After filling your boots, we leave Clitheroe and head back home through Whalley and Witton park.

This ride has numerous ups and downs so confidence in both climbing and descending is a must. To distract you are the stunning views, beautiful bridges, and flowing rivers along with the continuous country lanes with minimal traffic.

There are two sections on major roads, one lasting 600m and one 200m. These are without cycle lanes. This is a social ride and although challenging, it is not suited for club riders. As with previous notes, you need to be fit, healthy, and strong in mind and body to join this ride.

It is a long day's riding so please be equipped for this with snacks and refreshments, bike tools etc. The norm on a ride with us. As always, no helmet, no ride. You will need money for the cafe stop halfway.
