Starting point

Devon
PL9 7EJ

Starting by the bus stop on Elburton Road, just on the other side of the roundabout from Fairway Furniture, we will cycle along Billacombe Rd for a very short stretch, before crossing at the pedestrian lights, then taking the traffic-free path from Rock Gardens.
We will follow this path over the old Laira rail bridge, then along over Embankment road, to come out by Junction Gardens. We will then follow Grenville road, turning on to Cromwell road, before riding in on the shared north pavement of Exeter street.
The road works will force us to deviate up North street (the steepest part of the route) before skirting Plymouth uni, then heading into the city centre.
We'll have a coffee/tea stop at the Costa by the sun dial, before heading off again towards Devonport. Our route will follow Mayflower street, and we'll cross Western Approach by the pedestrian crossing. A short while later we'll be cycling along Wyndham street, past the Catholic cathedral most Plymothians seem unaware is responsible for giving us our city status, before breezing down Eldad Hill. We'll turn left onto the traffic-free path to Stonehouse Creek, and cross underneath the Stonehouse Bridge/Devonport Hill roundabout, via the tunnel, before riding up Devonport Hill, using the cycle lane.
A short while later, we'll turn left from the cycle lane onto Granby Way, where the ride will end.
