Cannons Park picnic

We are celebrating Pragna Shah's 100th Breeze ride - what an achievement, thank you Pragna!
Remember to bring water and suntan cream.
This is a short, slow ride from Harrow Civic Centre to Cannons Park for a picnic. 5 miles each way. Families are welcome. We aim to arrive at 11.00 am for a picnic in the park. We will be staying in the park for around 1 hour and then coming back a slightly shorter route. People do not have to come back to the starting point. It is possible to get the train back if you only want to cycle one way. From Cannons Park on Jubilee line to Wembley and change to the Metropolitan line to Harrow. Harrow station now has lifts.
The route is partly on quiet roads and through parks. Its is suitable for those wishing to gain confidence with cycling on the roads. Children over 8 who are confident cyclists are welcome with an adult, they will need to register separately. There are some hills where we can walk if necessary.
The cafe in the park is going to be closed but the toilets are open. We will be in the grassy area not far from the cafe. Feel free to bring your own picnic or there are shops near Cannons Park station where food can be bought.
Canons Park has a lovely woodland walk, children's play area, walled garden and a pond nearby.
Please ensure your bike is in tip-top working order. Pump up the tyres, check the brakes and ensure the wheels turn freely. If you have any questions, please message me.
