NOTE You must register on Eventbrite, https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/healthy-cycle-ride-canada-water-to-battersea-park-tickets-149607597351
. Please give a phone number when registering as it may be needed for Track and Trace. If you cannot make it, please cancel so that someone else can take the place. Even at the last minute it is worth cancelling. We use Eventbrite because these rides are listed in several places and having just one registration point allows us to limit the numbers.
This is an easy ride with no hills and lots to see. Outward Thames path, Westminster Bridge, Pimlico, Chelsea Bridge, Battersea Park. Back southside, Waterloo/Southbank and whatever Q1 is called now. Probably take a look at new developments around Battersea Power station. We'll stop either in Battersea Park or by the Power Station depending on how busy the Park Café is. Route map here is from earlier ride - note there are a few changes this year that are not shown (e.g. cross Westminster Bridge; use Pump House Lane past Battersea Power Station.
We will keep everyone as safe as possible by observing all the Covid Regulations. Most importantly we will be maintaining routinely a 2m social distance, never less than 1m. Particularly important to maintain social distancing from other users on shared paths. Always give way to pedestrians and to other cyclists so all path users can maintain 1-2 m and feel safe. Just in case we need them, good idea to bring a face mask. Obviously please do not turn up to this event if you are displaying symptoms of Covid-19.
We have 2 groups starting at Canada Water. Please note the Covid regulations say “avoid social interaction with anyone outside the group you are with, even if you see other people you know”.
• Keep in your group of 6 – with 2 groups the “tickets” will be colour coded – please remember which colour you are.
• Only talk to those outside your group away from the group and socially distanced.
• Consider wearing a face mask.
