One of two concurrent rides starting from Eastrop Park and heading towards Odiham. Both rides will have the same coffee shop destination but the rides will be of different speeds and distances.
This route is gently undulating and goes out through Old Basing and Grewell heading to Odiham. We use mainly side roads with a short section on cycle paths. We will retrace our route on our return.
This ride is a total distance of 14 miles with a café stop half way. We will be riding at an average of 8 mph (which is our usual Tuesday ride pace). There will be plenty of rest stops and we will ride at the pace of the slowest – no-one will be left behind.
The café stop is in Odiham where we shall join riders from the alternative group for a social gathering. After the café stop both groups will take the same route back to Eastrop Park via Greywell.
Please ensure that you arrive in time to START the ride at 9:45 with time before that for a chat about the route. If you are new to Breeze, please arrive about 10 minutes early so we can guide you through a bike check.
Prior to riding, ensure your tyres are well inflated and your brakes/gears are in good working order.
• Bring a spare inner tube that fits your wheels, tyre levers and pump (plus puncture repair kit if you have one)
• You’ll need a bike lock at the café (and money!)
• Please wear clothing appropriate for the weather (layers work well when it’s cooler and waterproofs can help with the windchill as well as the rain)
• Bring lights if the weather is dull or misty
