Burscough Barn - MIXED ride

This is a mixed ride social road ride over towards the Farm at Burscough. A mix of both major and minor roads along with country lanes will be used on this ride, some undulating. All roads will be fairly quiet due to the day and time of day. There are a few slight inclines to tackle but they are short-lived. We will be stopping at the Farm at Burscough where we can grab something to eat and drink. Please be prepared for dining outside if the farm is busy, no matter what the British weather throws at us. After the pit stop the route continues onwards and upwards before heading back to the starting point.

Although helmets are only recommended by law and not deemed to be essential, anyone not wearing a helmet will not be able to join the ride. Please be self-sufficient and bring spare inner tubes, bike levers, lock and pump. Don’t forget your pennies for the café stop. Also check your brakes and gears on your bike at least the night before.

Due to Covid, if the Govt restrictions are still in place, it is essential that all ride participants carry their own PPE, that is mask, anti bac gel/wipes and tissues. First aid consumables will be provided by the leader but you will need to self-medicate yourselves. In addition, punctures or any bike maint will need to be performed by you, but guidance at 1m with a face mask or 2m without will be provided.
