We start off from the pavilion in Avenham park and head clockwise round the Guildwheel to Miller Green, from here we head to Broughton and onto Whittingham where we start the climb to the Horns Inn. From here it is rolling roads to Inglewhite and on to Bilsborrow. After crossing the A6 we travel a short distance on St Michaels rd to Myerscough college and a welcome coffee
After our relaxing break in the beautiful gardens of the college we head back along St Michaels rd for a short distance and take a right turn into Moss lane. We follow this quiet lane all the way back to Woodplumpton where we retrace our steps back to Avenham park. This route gives a great introduction to Lancashire hills with fine views of the countryside .
We will aim for an average speed of 10-11 miles an hour

This is a steady ride aimed at women who are confident on a bike, wish to extend the length of their rides and are ready to try out some hills.

This is a circular route around the quiet lanes north of Preston passing through small Hamlets and stopping halfway for coffee. All bikes are suitable for this terrain but must be in a road worthy condition

We will be stopping at Myerscough college for coffee. It has a great range of food at very reasonable prices and we also get to enjoy the beautiful gardens free of charge.

Please bring some water and a snack and some money if you wish to purchase food and/or drink at the coffee stop. Be prepared for warm/wet weather conditions. Riders are advised to wear a helmet and it is compulsory for those under 18 to wear a helmet. Prior to the start of the ride there will be a short bike check and safety brief but please make sure that your bike is in working order before joining the ride. Please carry a spare inner tube and tools necessary to carry out a puncture repair

This is a small friendly group of women who enjoy a social ride around the scenic lanes in the area and a friendly chat over coffee. We love to welcome new members and we never leave anyone behind.
