Breezing to the Spinners

Welcome to Breeze Wigan summer rides, we are an extremely friendly group and our regular riders are of mixed abilities, so everyone regardless of experience and ability is very welcome to join us. We especially welcome ladies who are taking their first pedals on their bike and want to gain confidence in a friendly supportive group. We dont ride a set speed we would rather ride to a pace where we can have a chat and get to know each other! We also welcome rider on E-bikes.

We will be riding along the Leeds to Liverpool Canal, on the towpath which is a mix of imprinted concrete and gravel paths.

Starting at Bridge 63 Red Rock Canal Bridge ( Free Carparking ) we will follow the Leeds / Liverpool canal and ride through toCowling Chorley. The route is traffic free on our way to The Spinners Arms where we will stop for a bite to eat and drink before we make our way back along the same canal tow paths.

It is advisable that riders bring along a spare inner tube, just in case of a puncture; Make sure you bring along some cash if you want to but a coffee or a cake !
