Breezing to the border

This route leaves Horwich and follows the Middlebrook trail to Bolton where it joins the Bolton-Bury cycleway. The majority of the route is on fairly flat trails with either tarmac or gravel surfaces. There are a couple of minor roads and a couple of major ones to cross around the town centre. Cycle paths will be followed wherever possible.

If you wish to join the ride but feel you cannot manage the whole distance, why not meet us at Halfords, Manchester Road. Just message us to let us know if this is your intention and we can arrange a meet time.

We will try to have a takeaway stop at Bradley fold garden centre for a quick snack and drink but please be prepared in case this doesnt happen. Helmets are a requirement on all Horwich rides along with a spare inner tube, tyre levers,pump and lock.
