A gentle ride beside the River Severn from Ironbridge to Bridgnorth along the disused railway line and back to Ironbridge with a section of quiet roads.
We will peddle from the Green Wood Cafe in Station road, Coalbrookdale to Ironbridge and over the fully restored, iconic Ironbridge to then join the disused railway cycleway down river to Bridgnorth and back. On our return we will cross the river at Coalport to return with the river on our left into Ironbridge and then Coalbrookdale. At the furthest point of our ride we will stop for refreshments at Bridgnorth golf course where hot drinks and snacks are on offer. There are numerous pubs and cafes on the route should we need them but it is expected that we visit the The Green Wood Cafe on our return. The cafe is open from 8.30am and we can park here for the duration of our ride. Please park tidily, to allow for other users. A repair kit, spare inner tube, helmet and money for refreshments are necessary. The Green Wood Cafe is located with the Smallwoods Association in Station Rd, a small left turn as you arrive into Ironbridge from the Buildwas direction. The cafe is open from 8.30am and we are able to park here for the duration of our ride. Please park tidily, to allow for other users..
