Starting from - We will start from the car park at Middleton Top - this is a Peak Park car park, therefore there is a charge of £4:80 for the day (COINS ONLY)

There is a small cafe here and toilets.

An alternative is to park for free in the village of Middleton and cycle to the start - if this is an option you wish to take, then you need to allow time to get to Middleton Top for 10:00. DE4 4LS

We start from the car park, and pick up the High Peak Trail straight away - this is flat, apart from a short section called the "Hopton Incline". At around the 10 mile point, we join the Tissington Trail and follow this all the way to Tissington - where we will stop for drinks/refreshments (there are toilets here). It is slightly downhill from mile 15 to 20 (our cafe stop). As this is an out and back route, this means miles 20 - 25 are very slightly uphill. (I do emphasise the "very slightly"). On leaving the Tissington Trail at mile 30, we then rejoin the High Peak Trail and cycle back to Middleton Top.

This is 40 miles, please ensure you carry lots of fluid/snacks

The whole route is very scenic - offering some of the best views the White Peak has to offer.

A scenic out and back route on the High Peak and Tissington Trails

This route is wholly on trails

Time to stop and take photos plus eat/drink refreshments

Helmets are advisable. We will be stopping for drinks and refreshments at the half way point (you may need a mask)

We never leave anyone behind, however this ride is 40 miles and is therefore graded "challenging" - the minimum pace is 8 miles per hour.
