An easy-going route, mostly flat, mostly on traffic free or quiet roads, although there are a couple of busy junctions to negotiate. It will be an interesting, leisurely ride with lots of fascinating history and attractive architecture and scenery to admire.
We will follow the Waterlink way to Greenwich and cycle along the river on the Thames path as far as Greenland dock. Our route then takes us through the Russia Dock Woodland along the Surrey Canal Linear park, past the Brunel museum to The Rotherhithe Watch house where we will have a coffee stop. If we have time we might go up to Stave Hill and admire the view.
We will return through Southwark park (loos available) and pick up the Q1 to Deptford and the Waterlink way back to Cator park.
Please ensure you are dressed appropriately for the weather conditions and that your bike is in good working order with the tyres pumped up. Bring a lock in case we leave the bikes unattended at any point. Remember to bring a drink with you.
Double check your details on your lets ride profile are up-to-date, in particular that we have a phone number for you. If you don’t have a mobile put your home number in the mobile phone box.

Please call the leader, Jacqui Turner on 07456840924, if you have booked but there are problems on the day.
