Starting point

London
HA5 1AE

This route takes us out of Pinner and through Northwood to Rickmansworth, along quiet back roads. We'll ride through Rickmansworth Aquadrome and along the canal towpath to Black Jack's Mill for coffee, and back by a slightly different route. The ride ends at Moor Park Station, from which you can take the train back to Pinner - or you can ride back independently if you prefer. The scenery is gorgeous, but the canal towpath can be a bit bumpy so road bikes are not suitable.

Route rating

A lovely route along the canal towpath

About 80% is traffic-free but there are some on-road sections

We'll stop for a coffee and chat at the cafe of Black jack's Mill, a hidden gem by the canal in Harefield

No special gear is needed; just water, money for the cafe and an Oyster card if you'd like to return by train. Wear non-baggy clothes which won't get caught in the chain.

We never leave anyone behind
