Important : Not suitable for road bikes with narrow smooth tyres due to the offroad sections.

We'll be going from Cookham into Maidenhead mostly offroad then out to Windsor for coffee at the Cinnomon Cafe in the Windsor Royal Station, taking in some lovely scenic sections along the Thames and the Jubilee River.

Get 2020 off to a flying start, by earning rewards for your winter miles with #BreezeThroughWinter.

It can be difficult to find motivation to stay active over the winter months, so British Cycling are making it a little easier by rewarding everyone who completes four HSBC UK Breeze rides from 1st January to 29th February with some Breeze Through Winter goodies.

Last year hundreds of women took on the challenge, but this time... we’re hoping for even more! So whether you’ve made cycling one of your New Year’s resolutions or are already a seasoned Breeze rider, there’s no better time to get riding with us.
More details here https://www.letsride.co.uk/breeze-through-winter

I'll vary the route each week, the rides will be do-able for everyone and suitable for all bike types - approx 15-20 miles. We'll visit a cafe either along the route or at the end. The route may take in a few gentle climbs, there is no pressure to ride up, pushing is fine and we will regroup at the top. We will always ride at the pace of the slowest rider and never leave anyone behind.

Cycle helmets are mandatory for this ride. Please bring a lock if you have one, else we can share. Please bring water for the journey, money for the coffee stop, a spare inner tube and a pump (I will bring a puncture repair kit and a pump for both valve types, so don’t let not having these stop you coming).

We will meet on the grass verge at the junction of Whyteladyes Lane and High Road, Cookham, SL6 9LD. There is plenty of on road parking on Whyteladyes Lane for those arriving by car. There are toilets at the Council Offices/Cookham Library building very close to the start.

We’ll aim to set off promptly at 10:00am following a quick bike check.
