Breeze Through Winter: CoffeeActive Ashtead

This ride is for those who are new to cycling or returning to cycling and would like to ride with others, explore the local area and enjoy a chat over coffee and cake. The ride will be along cycle paths and quiet residential streets.

The route meanders out of Nonsuch Park and towards Epsom along cycle paths and through parks and avoids major roads. We will see pretty washboard cottages and cycle across Epsom and Ashtead Commons. The tracks across the commons are bridleways and the surfaces are loose stones, gravel and can be muddy in places. Hybrid bikes with off-road tyres are most suited to this ride.

Our café stop will be CoffeeActive in Ashtead. A popular cycling café which serves local craft coffees and teas plus delicious cakes and tasty lunches.

Wrap up warm and please bring a helmet, water, spare inner tube, a small lock and money for the café stop. Make sure that your bike is in good working order and that the tyres are pumped up.

We never leave anyone behind; the plan is to enjoy being out on our bikes as a group and have cake along the way.
