Meeting in Dobbie's Garden Centre Car Park, we will cycle east on the c2c to join cycle routes through Washington, Springwell, Wardley and Hebburn on cycle path to the Tunnel. We will then cycle through to the north side of the Tyne and return via the c2c route, crossing the Tyne again at the Millenium Bridge and stopping at the Baltic Gallery for a well earned cuppa. Suitably refreshed we will cycle south along cyclepaths through Gateshead, stopping again at the Angel for photographs and then finishing with a ride back through Birtley and the Garden Centre who have very kindly offered us parking. They have a lovely cafe here too and it is well worth a visit and purchase if you have the time.
