Come and explore the Sankey Valley Canal with us on this off road route. It is a good route for those that do not like roads. The route is very picturesque and some of our ladies have seen deer on there travels before. This route is fairly flat, if you want to build on past distances.

The route is mainly gravel pathways with some places on full tarmac. There are points along the route that could be muddy, due to weather. However this route is all off road on wide pathways.

We ride to the slowest person and there are lots of opportunities to stop and take pictures. We will stop at a cafe for refreshments and a catch up, before returning to our starting point.

This route is off road, however helmets are advisable as there are often low branches along the route. Please bring monies for any refreshments you would like to purchase. it is advisable to ensure you bring waterproof clothing and a drink for the journey and you will need to bring a spare inner tube and any specialist tools you may need for your bike. Please do not be put off by punctures as we are all able to help.

We especially welcome newbies!
