This series of rides is for anyone who has recently taken up cycling or has just dusted off their bike from the shed and would like to build up some confidence. We will be using the Stevenage Cycle tracks for the first ride so no need to worry about going on the road. It is mostly flat but there might be a slight undulation or two but no-one gets left behind.
This is the 2nd of a series of rides (13 April) is the first which will be 4 miles and each week we will add a mile or 2 so by the end of the series of 4 rides you’ll be covering 10 miles and we will start to venture onto some of the country lanes. If everyone wants to carry on with these rides we will continue to increase them a little each week until. we get up to around 16 miles.
Now for the Covid bit although Covid restrictions have been lifted, we are asking riders to be respectful to others on the ride. Please do not ride if you have Covid symptoms or have been in contact with anyone with symptoms. Please bring a mask (for the coffee stop & if you need first aid assistance) & hand sanitiser.
