Winchester Breeze around Avington

Starting at The Willow Tree pub we'll cycle through the back streets of Winnall. We'll head through the underpass and on along the quiet country lanes to Easton then pass through the pretty village of Avington and to Itchen Abbas to Abbotstone and Itchen Stoke. We will return on lanes through Ovington and Avington, back to Easton and Kingsworthy then via the cycle path on the Worthy Rd to River Park Leisure Centre and our starting point at the Willow Tree.

There are hills on this ride but we will cycle at an easy pace and nobody will be left behind.

Please NOTE: Current guidance due to Covid19 means we will be riding differently from a usual Breeze ride. We will observe 2m social distance at all times cycling and at stops in accordance with current government guidance. The ride leader will brief you before the ride. Please do not come if you are feeling unwell or have been asked to self isolate by NHS test and trace. It is not advised for anyone classed as vulnerable to attend group rides at this time.

Things to bring:
- Mask, disposable gloves and hand sanitiser
- Lights for your bike - in case it's dull
- Please ensure you have the right clothing for the weather and hi-vis if possible.
- A drink and snack if you think you need one
- A spare inner tube, tyre levers and pump just in case of a puncture.
We can advise but not physically assist.

There is no cafe stop on this ride but plenty opportunity for stopping and chat on route.
