We’re a friendly group of ladies who go out from the Triton for a ride of about 14 – 18 miles on Wednesday mornings for a cycle, coffee and a chat.

The ride is at steady pace - that's about 10 - 11 mph along the flat so people on road bikes zoom past us. But if you haven't ridden for a while, it might be best to book onto an easygoing paced ride first and see how you get on.

As the track between Faxfleet and Broomfleet is dry and ride-able, I'm thinking of going up to Gilberdyke and back via the track with coffee either at Gilberdyke nursery or Ellerker, but I'll adapt the ride if people don't want to ride so far or don't fancy the off-road section.

If you've a choice of bike, the one that's better on tracks might be best - although I rode the route on my road bike without problems.

If you've queries, please contact me, Shirley on 07480 409 869

I'll try to post details of the route nearer the time when I've seen the weather forecast - and wind direction/strength.

Quiet lanes and roads with the occasional busier stretch.

There's always a coffee stop and stops to admire the view (if any!), have a breather and a drink.

Helmets are advisable. Please bring an inner tube, suitable clothing (if you have too many layers, you can put extra clothes in my pannier but remember to retrieve them afterwards!), lights and a bike lock if you have them and money for refreshments.

First-timers welcome!
