Come along and join our friendly introductory club road ride. If you usually ride alone and would like to try riding in a group then this could be the ride for you. Maybe you have thought about joining a cycling club but not known how to do so? Maybe you have not felt fit enough to ride with other people? Maybe you’d just like to get out pedalling on a Sunday morning with the promise of good company and a social café stop? Our Sunday Social rides are organised by experienced members of Bolsover and District Cycling Club. The ride organisers change from week to week but we guarantee a warm welcome from someone friendly who knows the route and who will offer help and support to everyone taking part. Each ride route will be posted on the Bolsover and District Cycling Club facebook page on the Tuesday before the ride so you can upload the gpx file if you wish to do so. All you need is a working road bike, a helmet and a spare inner tube (don’t worry if you don’t know how to fit it). You may also like to bring a drink, a snack, a lightweight jacket and some money. And you need to be happy to ride for about 30 miles at a comfortable sociable pace. Riders should meet by 08:50 at the cenotaph in Bolsover, S44 6PN and be ready to ride promptly at 09:00. There is parking on Middle Street S44 6HD adjacent to the Market Square. The ride will include a café stop and this is a perfect time to ask questions, share experiences and to get to know other riders. We look forward to welcoming you!
