Starting from - Start from the outside of Feniscowles and Pleasington Sports and Social Club, Livesey Branch Road (A6062), Blackburn BB2 5EH. There should be adequate on road parking in front of the social club and playing fields. Alternatively you can use Witton Park car park (BB2 2TP) and cycle up to the start. (Approx 2 miles/10 minute ride). You will need to pay £1-50 to use the Witton Car Park.
The route profile is only for the outward leg. There are some slight hills on the last section of the return but nothing too taxing.

Route heads west via Riley Green, Gregson Lane, Bamber Bridge, Leyland, Moss Side, Bretherton, then the cycleway to Mere Brow eventually following the main road cycle path into Crossens thence to the Botanic Gardens in Churchtown for lunch.
The return route retraces the outward one as far as Bretherton, then via Croston, Flag and Runshaw lanes, skirting Buckshaw village to Whittle-le-Woods along Sandy Lane back to the start.
Total distance will be 48 miles. An extended detour can be arranged
