A ride out east through several local villages for coffee taken outside in Bampton where many of the outdoor scenes of Downton Abbey were filmed. After coffee we can do a short guided tour.

We will be on B roads for our journey through the Oxfordshire Country Side

We will stop in Bampton where there are a couple of cafes providing take away which will be taken on the triangle in the middle of the village. Please note that we may have to split into 2 groups for the coffee stop.

Please bring a face mask; you have to wear it on entering a café and in the event of first aid being required. For all our rides you should bring at least a spare inner tube and a pump. If your wheels are bolted on then a spanner that fits the nuts is also essential. Helmets are not compulsory but most definitely recommended. You should dress appropriately for the weather, and consider bringing your mobile phone along with cash or debit card for the coffee stop. Some café’s only take card payments.

we welcome new friends on all our rides; however this ride is for more experienced cyclists who should be happy at 15or so MPH. Most of the route is flat but there is one hill to get your heart rate as we come into Faringdon (at 21 miles) on the way home
