This is a slightly longer +ride to Erith via borders of Plumstead, Woolwich and Thamesmead. Meet from 9:15am at Danson Park (Stables car park), near DA6 8HL to set off at 9:30, arriving back for 1.00pm.
From Danson Park, we skirt Welling, go around fringes of Shooters Hill, across Plumstead Common and down through Glyndon, to Plumstead spiral. Then to riverside and along Thames Path for many miles, interrupted only by a possible diversion to view the "Gypsy Cob" at Belvedere. We will stop for refreshment at new cafe in Erith, part of "The Exchange" - the reinvented former Carnegie Library.
Afterwards, we will climb up to Northumberland Heath, skip around Barnehurst, before circling Bexleyheath town centre and returning to Danson by 1pm.
Robert leading - 19 miles. Some extra hills, however we will wait for all riders. No one is left behind. However new riders should skip this ride and first try one of our shorter rides during May.
Please ensure your bike is in roadworthy condition, that the tyres are fully inflated and ideally you have at least one spare inner-tube and your seat is at the correct height. Check that you are dressed for the variable weather for this time of year.
