BEXLEY HEALTHY +RIDE TO BECKENHAM PLACE PARK
Saturday 26th October 2019 9.30am
Start / Finish Danson Park Stables car park DA6 8HL
19 miles steady suitable for all bike types
3.5hrs 9.30am – 1pm adults only
ABOUT THE ROUTE
This is a steady healthy + ride which leaves Danson towards Blackfen, New Eltham, Chislehurst, Elmstead, Bromley, Shortlands and then Ravensbourne where we enter the park.
Beckenham Place Park is the largest park in South East London and Jim will give a short talk on the history of this magnificent park, and then we will be able to stop for refreshments at the fully restored park café.
We leave the park from the Downham entrance heading towards Grove Park, Mottingham, Chislehurst, Sidcup and retuning to Danson.
This ride is mostly on quiet roads, good surfaced paths and through parks with just a few gentle slopes and no one will be left behind as we wait for all riders.
Jim leading 19 miles, hope you can join me – everyone welcome.
Please ensure your bike is in roadworthy condition and that the tyres are fully inflated and ideally you have at least one spare inner-tube and that your seat is at the correct height and that you are dressed for the weather on the day.
This ride is part of a series of Healthy rides by Harry Clark & Bexley Cyclists an LCC local group. www.lcc.org.uk
