Starting point

London
N1C 4AX

We ride South from Kings Cross along the recently-completed Cycle Superhighway 6, which takes us south of the river to Quietway 1. Then it's quiet streets and cycle paths to Bermondsey, past Millwall Football Club and on to the Thames Path at Deptford. Come and discover some of London's maritime history! We'll see the statues of Ada Salter, social reformer, pacifist and first woman mayor of a London borough, and her family. After a cuppa and snack at a local cafe we take the Overground back from Rotherhithe to Shadwell and return to Aldgate Station via the segregated CS3. We need to carry our bikes up and down stairs to use the Overground, but we'll help each other where necessary. This is a slow sightseeing ride. All bikes are suitable. There is a short section of cobbles which you can walk if necessary. It's actually 12 miles long.

This is a Breeze Harrow ride and all women are welcome. If coming from Pinner take the 0930 train or Harrow - 0935. Board the back of the train to access the Kings Cross lift.
