Amesbury, Tilshead, Chitterne, Codford, Wylye loop

Starting at the Five Rivers Leisure centre we head out along Stratford Sub Castle, turning right towards Little Durnford and follow the Woodford Valley passing through Great Durnford towards Boscombe Down. We will then follow the London Road, past Tesco (rather than via Bulford Village and Telegraph Hill) and turn right at the traffic lights towards the Countess roundabout. From here we go straight across and follow Countess Road (passing close to Woodhenge) and then turn left at the next roundabout following the Packway to Larkhill. Continue along this road until the crossroads with the B3086 where we will turn right towards the Bustard and Salisbury Plain. Heading left we pass by Westdown Camp, through Tilshead and head for Chitterne. Turning left off the B390 we head towards Codford, turning right onto New Road until we reach the A36. Turning right we go along the A36 for approximately 400m and turn left along Station Road towards Boyton where we will stop at the Ginger Piggery for some well earned refreshments. We then head back along the familiar Wylye Valley until we reach Great Wishford - at which point we head towards Stoford Hill and cross over the A360 back to Middle Woodford. We then have a lovely ride along the Lower Woodfords and head back to the Leisure Centre via Stratford Sub Castle. Alternatively at Great Wishford, we can opt to ride back to Wilton and end the ride at the Market Square if that's preferable to the group.
