Starting from Amersham, we will ride along mainly quiet country roads to Beaconsfield and then on to Burnham Beeches National Nature Reserve which is is one of the best examples of ancient woodland in Britain. Famed for its beech and oak pollards – many of which are more than 400 years old – it is also home to a rich variety of fungi, plants and animals. This will be a faster paced ride, we will stop for coffee in Beaconsfield.
Please make sure your bike is in good working order and that you bring with you two spare inner tubes, a bike pump and enough drinks. Cycle helmets are strongly recommended.
Come and join us on a lovely ride through the Chilterns!
There are a few hills and its not a beginners' ride.
