Alvaston Park to Mercia Marina

A steady but sedate paced ride starting off on the old canal path towards Swarkeston and then wending it's way to The Marina for refreshments and catch up chat.

A mixture of traffic free bike path, lanes and busier roads.

Helmets are advised - I will be wearing one. The Covid bit: This ride will be formed of 2 groups, each led by a Breeze Champion, that will adhere to current social distancing guidelines at all times - from meeting in the car park through to the refreshment stop and includes includes stopping at junctions; Please bring everything that you may need on the ride eg spares and tools, and extra clothing, sharing is not encouraged; There will be no need to wear a face mask for the actual ride but one may be required at the cafe stop or for a mechanical so it's probably best to have one handy. Please do not ride if you feel unwell, have Covid 19 symptoms or have been advised to self isolate. If you develop symptoms or test positive after the ride please let one of the leaders know.
