Starting out with a couple of lockside 'ups', this is a lovely heritage trail kind of route - Daisy Nook, Park Bridge (Old Iron Foundry) and Alex Park. The first half of the route will contain mud (regardless of the time of year!), but we'll soon be back on terra firma where I will then throw at you a choice of compacted sand or cobbles to ride on! The stunning Park Bridge iron works is the backdrop for the little 'Alp' that we need to get up - there's plenty of pretty things to distract you from the 'up' - and the cute Dingle Terrace will be sure t take your breath away once you finally have it back! an old railway line then takes is to our destination of Alex Park where a cycle through it brings us to the old boathouse which is now a cafe. I don;t leave anyone behind and am not afraid to get off and walk any 'ups' that get me!

Bike type: MTB, hybrid, road Surface: compacted sand/dirt, cobbles (canal (2 or 3 sections)), mud, tarmac

Cafe: the Boathouse cafe at Alexandra Park Toilets: Daisy Nook & Alexandra Park

Ensure you have a helmet as I will not allow anyone to ride without one. Also bring a lock, puncture repair kit and weather appropriate clothing. Also bring cash for the cafe.
