Starting point

Merseyside
WA11 7TA

This route was originally created by an FCs Legend Mike Burke , setting off from our usual start point just off the Rainford Bypass close to The Holdi Indian Restaurant WA117TA.
We head out through The Rainford Junction passing through Crawford , over Tower Hill to Upholland , we then head over Ashurst to Newburgh . The route then changes from the original as we head over to Rufford where we will stop for lunch at Fettlers Wharf . We then head over to Burscough Bridge , before looping round Halsall ,Aughton , and back round Bickerstaffe.
The revised route is around 3 miles longer , due to Merlins Bakery not opening on Saturdays anymore . Tastebuds at Fettlers is a very good stop !
