Starting at the Cycle Hub, this leisurely ride follows the traffic free riverside path along the Tyne up to Scotswood, over the bridge to join Hadrian's Way route 14 and then winds past the Metrocentre still on cycle paths to Dunston Staiths. Here we rejoin the Gateshead riverside path and head towards the Millennium Bridge passing The Sage and The Baltic on the way. Over the Bridge its then a very short distance back to the Cycle Hub.
The route we will be cycling over is a mixture of different terrains including quiet roads, cycle paths, shared paths, muddy puddles, wet leaves etc. Therefore, these rides are only suitable for Hybrids or Mountain bikes.
It’s now Autumn/Winter cycling weather, PLEASE DRESS APPROPRIATELY it can get cold on an evening.
REMEMBER TO BRING – Bike Lights, warm gloves, wind/raincoat.
