A ride out to view the Anthony Gormley statues on Crosby Beach. This is the outgoing leg. Two choices for the return to Chorley are listed separately and can be seen at https://busstopbikers.co.uk/routes/page/8/. The decision on the return route can be made on the day.
The route goes via Euxton, Eccleston, and Wrightington. Over Parbold Hill from the easy side, thence Parbold, Westhead and Town Green to cross the A59 at Maghull to Sefton Village. Then via Rimrose Country Park to Waterloo and Crosby Marina.

The Gormley Statues are visible by riding up the Sefton Coastal Path, One of the Sustrans ‘150 great days out'.
Apart from some undulation on the outward leg, this is a fairly flat ride.

Total distance for the ride is 67 - 69 miles depending on return route.

A fairly flat circular ride to view the Gormley Statues and seafront at Crosby. Further Places on the ride are available at: https://busstopbikers.co.uk/event/ride-to-another-place-a-visit-to-the-gormley-statues/

Selected quiet roads, cycleways, a country park and coastal path.

Lunch stop at the Waterloo Sunset Cafe before riding up the Sefton Coastal Path. A second Cafe stop is planned, probably in Ainsdale on the return route.

Helmets are always advisable, but NOT compulsory. Usual emergency tools and puncture repair kit and emergency lights can be a good idea. Money for the cafe stops. (always best to bring cash and card)

We never leave anyone behind
