Starting point

Oxfordshire

We will go out to Fernham where we will join the race route and follow it to the bottom of White Horse Hill. This will be our vantage point though we may have to share it with others. (last year the route through Cumnor was packed). Those so inclined can join take on Dragon hill before dropping into Woolstone, those wishing the easier option will make their way to the White Horse Inn. Once suitably refreshed we then make our way back to Shrivenham.
Riders can join the ride at Fernham if they wish.

we have classified this ride as STEADY as we won't be racing there but if you take the Dragon Hill option it then becomes CHALLENGING

This is a rare opportunity to watch professional cycle racing on our doorstep and it's the ladies racing in Oxfordshire again. Join us for our ride a specially chosen vantage point and get to ride part of the race route as well (lycra not mandated) Some of Britain's top ladies will be action, even if you have to work very hard to spot them!!

We will be riding on the country lanes and roads. After the ladies have passed we will head off for some refreshments and there is an option to "Slay the Dragon" . Taking on the climb to Uffington Castle that the organisers of the WToB decided to leave out

There will plenty of photo ops from our vantage point and we will book space in the Garden of the White Horse Inn for our refreshments

Don’t forget a full water bottle with your favourite thirst quencher. Govt Guidance means face masks are no longer mandatory but we would ask you to bring a face mask as some venues may request it and also first aid may be required. For all our rides you should bring at least a spare inner tube and a pump. If your wheels are bolted-on then a spanner that fits the wheel nuts is also essential. Helmets are not compulsory but most definitely recommended. You should dress appropriately for the weather, and consider bringing your mobile phone along with cash or debit card for the pub stop. Some places only take card payments. You may wish to pop a snack in as well as we may be at the vantage point for a while as we have to get there before the police close the road.

First-timers welcome!
