A series of 3 cycling sessions for beginners and those that do not like hills, to practice cycling up and down hills. Week 1 we practice in a traffic free environment. Week 2 we have a short road hill to get used to cycling up hill in traffic, and week 3 we extend cycling up hill on road.

Week 1 we will cycle on the cycle paths that extend through Singleton Park. A traffic free environment for practicing on hills. Week 2 we will cycle along the Promenade to Mumbles and then up hill on the road to Limeslade. We will return to Singleton Park via the same route. Week 3 we will cycle along the promenade to Mumbles; we will then take the road up to Limeslade. From Limeslade we will cycle up Plunch Lane to Langland Corner. We then drop down to Norton before returning to the Promenade and Singleton Park.

Please ensure your bike is in good working order. Due to Covid restrictions Breeze leaders have been advised not to share tools for any mechanical problems. Therefore, please ensure you have a pump and a cycle repair kit/spare inner tube with you or have made arrangements for somebody to collect you should there be a mechanical problem with your bike when we are out. Although not a legal requirement, you are strongly advised to wear a helmet. Weather appropriate clothing is also a must. Please bring money for refreshments at the end of the ride, and bring any refreshments you might require during the ride session.

These sessions are designed for ladies who have recently started cycling/not cycled for a while, and need to build up their confidence on hills. It will be a supportive small group environment with lots of encouragement, and nobody will get left behind.
